A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Productions Engineers to improve operational output and efficiency.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager's responsibilities will include:

Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team, setting SMART objectives, providing coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.

Ability to improve safety, quality, output, efficiency, quality via the identification and execution of action plans to meet or exceed targets.

Leadership for definition, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation in manufacturing.

Collaborate with product/design engineering, production, quality and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product launches and process transfers.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing excellence tools (Lean/Six Sigma).

Capable of completing cost benefit analysis and generating capital expenditure requests to support site strategic objectives, as well as manage departmental budgets.

Monitoring plant and process equipment through production start up and sign off activities.

Ensure that Key Performance Indicators, financial spends and engineering activities are communicated effectively.

Oversee equipment selection, installation, maintenance and upgrades to ensure safe and efficient operations. Experience with automation/robotics implementation

The candidate must be qualified to HNC/HND or degree level.

Role profile: Design Engineer Location: Warwick Midlands (site-based and office work required). Background:Our client has secured capital grant funding to deliver new bus stop platforms and bus shelters, as well as funding to appoint an engineer to oversee producing a suite of construction drawings. Subject to final costings, the scheme is expected to upgrade approximately 30 to 40 bus stops. Role purpose: The purpose of this role is to support our client in delivering a key component of its Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) infrastructure. Specifically, the role will focus on leading the design and overseeing the delivery of the Quality Bus Corridor initiative including the production of construction drawings and coordination of activities to enable delivery for new bus stop platforms and bus shelters along priority bus corridors across Warwickshire. Moreover, the role purpose is to provide quality assurance. Role responsibilities: The Design Engineer will be responsible for producing detailed construction drawings for each bus stop identified for upgrade. To do this, they will apply the clients standard specification for bus stop platforms, adapting it to create location-specific designs and ensuring it meets national design guidance e.g. LTN 1/24, as well as road safety standards. Each site will have unique requirements, including considerations such as electrical supply for Real-Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays and shelter lighting. The engineer will also need to incorporate the appropriate type and placement of new bus shelters or bus stop flag poles, along with associated signage and road markings. Additional factors such as vegetation clearance will also need to be assessed and noted in the drawings. Site visits will be essential, and the engineer will need to be able to travel the county. The engineer will need to apply their professional knowledge and complement the construction drawings with information gathered from onsite. Collaboration with Engineering Design Services (EDS) team Transport Planning team will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of the work required.
