Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices and payments across multiple entities
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
  • Support month-end close and reporting
  • Assist with integration of a newly acquired business
  • Work daily with Microsoft Dynamics, Excel & Outlook
About You
  • Previous Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger experience is essential
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organised
  • Strong Excel and system skills
  • Team player with a positive, friendly personality

Please note, this role is fully office based, working between 8.30am - 5pm (Monday - Friday), so please only apply if you are happy to commit to this working pattern.

The role: Reporting to the Management Accountant Lead, the Management Accountant provides comprehensive accounting support to the business, executing monthly accounting processes and ensuring appropriate accounting controls are followed. It is responsible for conducting analysis and providing reporting and insights direct to business stakeholders to support effective decision-making. Responsibilities: Effectively execute month end accounting processes (including balance sheet reconciliations), ensuring accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial information. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality reporting, information packs, and commentary to support the Management Accountant Lead in providing insights to enable the business to make effective strategic and operational decisions. Deliver customer service excellence to internal customers, ensuring financial performance insights are delivered directly to the business and that all financial performance is understood. Provide timely responses to queries received relating to month end processes. Work collaboratively with teams across entities/functions to build strong relationships and ensure effective financial reporting support is provided across the business. Attend meetings to update on monthly performance, forecast updates and any risks and opportunities, to support effective decision-making. Prepare forecast updates and provide effective narrative to internal customers to ensure the key messages are understood and that all business budget holders understand their budgets and forecasts. Ensure that all controls for the function are properly conducted and any deviations are escalated as appropriate and remedied accordingly. Deliver high-quality inputs to the regulatory reporting pack through liaison with the Regulation team to ensure smooth integration of deliverables into business submissions. Support the external audit process and provide responses to any related queries to ensure the audit process is conducted smoothly and accurately. Requirements: Experience in delivering management accounting activities (including planning, forecasting, and budgeting). Experience of using S/4 HANA is preferred. Experience in a business facing role ideally in a regulated business. Strong understanding of governance, risk, and internal control frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong customer service orientation. Candidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.
