We're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the busy finance team of an established professional services organisation in Leamington Spa. You'll get involved in the day-to-day accounts activity that keeps the organisation moving, from purchase ledger and reconciliations through to banking and payments.

This could particularly suit an Accounts Assistant with existing practical accounts experience who enjoys working with figures, takes pride in getting the detail right and likes being part of a supportive team.

Role Overview

• Manage purchase ledger activity, including processing supplier invoices and payments
• Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Use online banking software, including NatWest Bankline, to process and monitor transactions
• Prepare, check and process CHAPS and BACS payments
• Post receipts, payments, invoices and journals accurately
• Assist with client and office account transactions and reconciliations
• Work closely with colleagues to investigate and resolve financial queries.

The Ideal Candidate

• Good practical experience gained within an accounts environment
• Comfortable with purchase ledger, payments and bank reconciliations
• Experience using online banking software would be beneficial
• Familiarity with CHAPS and BACS payments would be advantageous
• Experience within a professional services organisation, such as an accountancy or law firm, is useful but by no mean essential
• Numerate, accurate and comfortable working as part of a busy team.
